Write a dialogue between two voices — you and your emotion, you and your past, you and your song.
Split the paper into two columns. Left: your voice. Right: the 'other' voice. Write as if you're talking.
Dialogue often reveals things monologue hides. When the 'song' talks back, you find out what it wants to say.
'What do you want to say?' 'I don't want to say you hurt me.' 'So what?' 'I want to say I'm OK.' 'Then write it.'
