The Forge is a creative workshop for lyricists, rappers, singers and poets. Here's how to use the app.

  • 📓 Notebook Mode — visual canvas for brainstorming and free writing. Text blocks, sticky notes with photo/audio/rotation, label-free pins, highlighter (3 widths/6 colors), pin connections, eraser, scissors, trash, save system.
  • ℹ️ Info Buttons per Mode — (i) button on each editor mode (Forge / Beginner / Notebook) instead of a shared "?".
  • 🎭 Mood Matcher — auto background by mood (600+ phrases, 10 categories, once daily).
  • 🎨 Decorative Backgrounds — 10 color themes with custom SVG waves (Aurora, Magma, Abyss, Orchid, Jungle, Crimson, Glacier, Ember, Cosmos, Synthwave). Select in Profile → Settings → Background.

1. Creating a Project

  • On the home page, click Open Editor.
  • Choose a genre from Genre Structure — the app prepares a template with blocks (Intro, Verse, Chorus...).
  • Or start with a blank project and add blocks manually.

2. Writing Lyrics

  • Each block has its own text field. Write your lyrics there.
  • On the left you can see the block type (VERSE, CHORUS...) and syllable count.
  • Auto-save — your text saves automatically. Orange blink = typing, green = saved.
  • ℹ️ Info Buttons — each editor mode (Forge / Beginner / Notebook) has an (i) info button explaining the mode.
  • Use keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+S (save), Ctrl+Z (undo), Ctrl+Shift+F (focus mode).

3. Rhymes & Dictionary

  • In the side panel, click Rhymes — enter a word and the app finds rhymes.
  • Switch between CZ and EN dictionary.
  • Click a rhyme to insert the word into your text at the cursor position.
  • Word Bank — your personal bank of words and phrases.
  • Reference — save links and notes.
  • 🇨🇿 Non-standard Czech Detection — the app automatically detects ~70 non-standard words and shows the standard form in a tooltip.

4. Metronome

  • Click Metronome in the side panel.
  • Set BPM (30–300) — click the number to type a custom value.
  • Click START METRONOME to begin.
  • The visual pulse helps you feel the rhythm while writing.
  • There's also a quick metronome on the home page — slider and preset buttons.

5. Stress Analysis

  • The Stress panel analyzes your text.
  • ● = stressed syllable, ○ = unstressed.
  • Helps you control the rhythm and flow of your lyrics.

6. Export

  • Click Export in the side panel.
  • Choose format: Plain text, SUNO, or UDIO.
  • SUNO and UDIO format copies text to clipboard ready to paste into AI music tools.
  • Or click Preview to view the full text.

7. Profile & Backups

  • Profile — set your name, skill level, backup password.
  • Dropbox / Google Drive is optional — connect cloud for profile backup.
  • Export your profile as an encrypted ZIP file.
  • Appearance — switch between 3 themes (Forge Dark / Book Reader / Night Book Reader) and 10 decorative backgrounds (Aurora, Magma, Abyss, Orchid, Jungle, Crimson, Glacier, Ember, Cosmos, Synthwave).

8. Genre Structure

  • Explore 48+ genres with pre-made templates in 13 categories (Pop & Dance, Hip-Hop & Rap, R&B & Soul, Rock, Metal & Hardcore, Punk & Alternative, Electronic & Dance, Jazz & Blues, Folk & Country, Classical & Orchestral, Latin & Caribbean, World & Folk Traditions, Special).
  • Each genre has a description, typical BPM, block structure (up to 14 block types — INTRO, VERSE, PRE-CHORUS, CHORUS, POST-CHORUS, HOOK, BRIDGE, SOLO, INTERLUDE, BREAKDOWN, DROP, VAMP, OUTRO, VOLNÝ), tips and what to avoid.
  • Click Select Template — a new project is created with prepared blocks.
  • Or create a custom template with your own color and icon.

9. Knowledge Book

  • Explore 107+ writing techniques — from rhymes through rhythm to structure.
  • Each technique has a definition, How to guide, Why it works, and an example.

10. Focus Mode

  • Ctrl+Shift+F or the menu button — hides all panels.
  • Only the text and syllable counter are shown. Maximum concentration.
  • Press Esc or click the top bar to exit focus mode.

11. Pitch Engine — Vocal Studio

  • Pitch Engine — record your voice and the app detects pitch in real time.
  • Two algorithms: pYIN (more accurate, Viterbi HMM) and YIN (basic).
  • Results shown on a note staff with color-coded notes.
  • Training — scales, intervals, chords, coloratura, vocal warm-up.
  • Vocal range detection with auto-classification (soprano–bass).
  • Live Analysis — stability, vibrato, breath, resonance in real time.
  • AudioMeters — VU meter with needle, Peak bar, RMS bar in separate panel.
  • LUFS Meter + PhaseScope — loudness measurement (LUFS) and goniometer with correlation.
  • NotesPad — draggable text area with auto-save.
  • Teleprompter — panel with text from editor archive, auto-scroll, load from My Projects.
  • Metronome — standalone workspace panel, BPM 30-300.
  • Export: MIDI, CSV, MusicXML, JSON.
  • Synthesizer — play detected notes (sine, triangle, square, sawtooth).
  • Draggable workspace — all panels freely draggable and resizable in a 4-column layout. Positions auto-save to localStorage.

12. Level System

  • Level System — earn XP for writing, exporting, visits and other activities.
  • 7 tiers — Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond → Master → Legend, each with its own animated badge.
  • Achievements — special challenges and milestones.
  • Daily streak — consecutive days of using the app.
  • Your level and XP are shown on the home page and in your profile.

13. Notebook Mode

  • Notebook is a visual canvas for brainstorming and free writing. Switch to it at the top of the editor — next to the mode switch you'll find an (i) info button with an explanation.
  • Text blocks — in normal mode, click anywhere on the canvas to start typing. Empty blocks auto-delete on blur.
  • Pins — click the pin button, cursor shows a preview, click on the canvas to place. Each has a different color.
  • Sticky notes — colored notes. Add photo, audio. Drag by the header. Pin to a pin.
  • Highlighter — pick a color and width (2/4/10px), draw directly on the canvas. Eraser removes strokes on click.
  • Connections — activate connect → click first pin → click second pin. A string with an arrow appears.
  • Scissors — activate scissors and click on a connection string. The string is deleted.
  • Trash — drag a note or pin onto the red bin in the bottom-right corner.
  • Saving — click the save icon. Name your session, reorder items (up/down buttons). Save text only or full state.
