Creative Block

Process

A state where one cannot create — not laziness but a psychological barrier. Block is not absence of ideas but fear of judgment.

Stop pushing. Do something else: walk, shower, draw. Block is a signal that your critical part has taken over.

Block is not the enemy — it's a protective mechanism. The brain tries to prevent failure by preventing the attempt.

Rick Rubin: 'Creative block doesn't exist — you just haven't found the right entry point.'
